Winter Blues and Beauty
In this beautiful world there is a historical place called New England. The change of seasons is one of the most remarkable transitions that could possibly take place. We have a wonderfully bright summer, when the days are spent basking in the warm sun and the nights are for star gazing, cocktails and roasting marshmallows with friends.
Then those days slowly turn into Fall and the nights come a little bit quicker. When watching football games in the crisp air and wearing a sweater and jeans are just perfect. The brilliant, amazing colors of all the leaves are insainly breathtaking to look at. Kids dressing up on Halloween, reinventing themselves for just one night to be whom or what ever they dream of is truly memorable.
Next comes the winter months..... as the leaves fall from the trees and become bare, they await the coating of white stuff that is to rest on the branches. Oh, the magnificant beauty of the snow falling to the ground is like a little angel shaking powdered sugar all over the world. The chill in the air and the childrens' rosy cheeks as they make snowmen and forts after sledding down a hill as fast as a roller coaster. The smell of hot chocolate and holiday celebrations with loved ones. How about a romantic stroll in a park with the love of your life , just waiting for that first kiss, and when it happens....the moment is perfect while the white fluffy snow falls to the ground. Then as the winter months come to a slow halt we start to see the cute furry creatures awake from their winters nap. The sound of the birds are a welcoming melody. Smelling the flowers in bloom make us feel energized, and the feel of the warm breeze blowing through our hair is like an awakening of sorts. Taking walks and seeing neighbors, feeling happy and new.
We get a burst of energy when the sun shines on us like it does, and I am very grateful that I am alive to enjoy it all!
There are always going to be downfalls during each season, but each season also has its own beauty, so even though we keep getting more snow, take a second to enjoy the beauty of it for soon it will be another season.
Enjoy every second of every moment!
Love Much, Live Well
Michelle xoxo
