Summertime

Well, it's that time again!  Summertime!

For me, summertime brings back wonderful memories. Playing until dark, running for the ice cream truck, going to the beach and spending every waking moment playing!

As I watch my children grow, I can only hope they will enjoy their childhood as much as I did.

Although I am now thirty sev  a young adult, I still find myself enjoying the simple pleasures of summer.

I love the smell of fresh cut grass.

I love the smell of the ocean and the way the warm sand feels on my feet at the beach.

I love that we don't have to rush around every morning!

I love seeing my boys so relaxed, watching television in their PJs, until its time to go have fun!

I love the smell of chlorine and the sound of the kids splashing in the pool!

I love early morning workouts, when the air is already so warm but not too hot yet, and you know its going to be a beautiful day because the sky is a brilliant pinkish purple!

I love driving with the windows down and the wind blowing my hair!

I love that you don't have to bundle up in a million layers of clothes!

I could go on forever..........I just love summer!

Sometimes when we take a second and notice, appreciate and enjoy the simple things in life,
we will remember how beautiful life can be!
