Starting over?

A couple of weeks ago I decided that one of the the things in my life that needed a makeover was my appearance......something was bringing me down and has been for a while. My hair!

Now as you probably know by now ( but for those that don't know I will tell again)

I LOVE HAIR!!!!! I LOVE HAIR, FASHION, BEAUTY and everything that has to do with it!

I always have.......this is why at the ripe old age of five, I decided that I was going to become a hairdresser! That was what I was going to do, I had made up my mind. I remember sitting in the Salon watching in awe as my mom got her hair done.........and right by her side I was doing the hair on my Barbie Head (remember those? Only back then they didn't have all the bling that they do now!)

Even elementary school age, all the girls in the neighborhood would get there hair and make up done sometimes we would even pretend to be models.........

Junior high and high school same thing only this was a chance to have my work on display, because if we were going out, I was doing the girls hair.

While everyone was filling out college applications I was filling out Beauty School Scholarships and dreaming of someday doing runway hair and fashion shows.

When graduation day came, at all the after parties, everyone talked about where they were going to college in the fall and I was all set to go to Beauty school and start my Career.

So I have been a hairdresser for 18 years, the last six years I have only worked here and there trying to find a new "home" (Salon). See when we moved to our home to where we are now (50 miles from where all my clients where) I also lost my clientele.

What that means is that If I find a Salon that I like, I will have to start from scratch and that is a little scary at my age (ya know thirty something)........But that being said I am REALLY great at what I do (not to toot my own horn, well actually I am going to toot my horn because I am that good!) so maybe it won't be so scary? Maybe it would be fun! I think I am actually going to try to find a Salon and start over!!!

Well look at that I actually decided to go back to work as a stylist! Now where do I want to work?????

Oh and since I got off the subject of my hair makeover........I promise I will post about that next.
